Cal-Assimilate Plus contains calcium in three forms: microcrystalline hydroxyapatite, a natural whole bone mineral; calcium citrate, a bioavailable, readliy soluble form of calcium; and tricalcium phosphate, a major constituent of the bone matrix.
Calcium is important for bones and teeth formation, heartbeat regulation, nerve transmission, and neuromuscular activity. It also plays a role in blood clotting, cell membrane maintenance, and the activation of enzymes, including lipase. Two forms of magnesium, plus other key minerals and vitamin D, are included to assist in optimal calcium absorption and metabolism. Chondroitin sulfate is included to support the bone/connective tissue matrix. Animal-derived materials in this calcium supplement are certified BSE-free*.
